Sophie is a filmmaker and artist that founded Astral Projections in 2019 and blends her love of art, music and colour to create immersive colourful worlds - you’ll see her dancing around a lot while mixing!

Bex is a Poet and standby Art Director, she brings artistry and that little extra sparkly pizzaz to every show! She’s even written and projected some of her original poems at AP Shows.

FAQ
Where are you based - Can you travel to us?
Our studio is based in Hackney Wick, London. We can travel reasonable distances to do our shows all around the UK
How much do your shows cost?
Each light show and event has its own unique requirements so our prices do fluctuate, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to provide you an estimated quote or recce your venue free of charge to assess how much your quote will be
How long do your shows last?
There are always flexible limits and with more hands we can run our shows for longer. We can run our lights for hours upon hours without a break. The hand-mixed light show can run continually with projector in our hybrid setup, the totally analog hand mixed show work will run for about 30 minutes per light artist, but with more hands this can go on for hours!
I’m in a band, can you mix live to my tracks at a show?
Yes, and that’s one of our favourite things to do - get in touch!
Can I buy your video footage to play for my band / TV Show / Performance?
Yes we have a catalog of work we sell the clips for for your use and can easily make custom content for you too
I’m having a wedding/rave/party, can you come play for us?
We love weddings and parties! Please let us know what you are looking for.
Do you do standalone shows?
Yes! In 2021 we have played as a standalone artist at Latitude Festival, if you’re looking for a unique and memorable performer for your show or festival - we’re your girls

How sustainable are your shows?
We only use non-toxic, vegetable-based dyes and try to use eco-friendly liquids in our performances. We also purchase second-hand equipment that we see a sparkle in (which would have been destined for the dump) - whether that is an old slide projector collecting dust in our grandparents' attic we can use for boil slides, to repurposing antique clock faces for our liquid plates.
